“Dr. Des Rosiers has been my doctor for over 40 years. When I moved to Giddings in 1961, I inquired about finding a good OBG. Friends referred me to Dr. Des Rosiers.

My mother had breast cancer, and I was scared about the possibility of me having it. My worst fear was realized when I was diagnosed with breast cancer myself in 1979. His compassion and skills were amazing. I knew he was the best caregiver for me.

He always had time for me. Also, he asked me about my family, which was very important to me. We talked the New York Buffalo’s (my former home), my sons and grandsons. His stories about his family, renting a plot to garden and movies, like Patch Adams, were great. Knowing he had time to find out about me as a person, not just a patient, was very comforting.

The staff of Drs. Des Rosiers & Wernecke, Associates was also very caring. I felt close to them. They always remember me. However, it was particularly important while I was undergoing my cancer treatment,” says Dot.
